Pick Your Communication Protocol
c-tree Servers communicate using TCP/IP, Shared Memory, NetBIOS, SPX, and message queues depending on the Server platform. Most Server platforms support more than one protocol providing you the flexibility to choose how your client applications communicate to the Server. For example, the c-tree Servers for Windows can dynamically load communication DLL's to concurrently support TCP/IP, Shared Memory, SPX and NetBIOS clients. FairCom's unique ability to concurrently support heterogeneous clients, in addition to multiple concurrent communication protocols provides FairCom's customer base with the ability to choose the best hardware for a particular function, without multi-platform concerns. FairCom customers routinely connect Windows, Unix and even embedded processes to several combinations of back-end servers.
