Full Heterogeneous Networking

Heterogeneous network support allows clients and servers of different architectures to use the same database. Thus a Unix Server could support Unix, Mac, and Windows clients, each making reads and writes to the same database with a variety of user applications.

Heterogeneous systems offer a cost-effective approach to the inherent limitations of homogeneous systems. Homogeneity does not provide for situations with many applications running on different platforms demanding concurrent processing of information. Rather than the costly solution of replacing existing systems, heterogeneous computing allows for the utilization of existing systems in an integrated environment.

"It's really nice to know we chose the right product and company when we many years ago started using c-tree. There really wasn't much choice in those days on the Macintosh platform, but we couldn't have made a better choice. And now, when we are looking to port our applications to other platforms such as Mac OS X, Linux and Windows, c-tree is already there. Makes things so much easier for me."
