c-treeACE uses any and all processor memory the administrator might allocate for caching or buffering. Larger quantities of available memory generally add to overall performance, yet FairCom is able to achieve surprising performance without the massive memory requirements of other server implementations. In fact, only a small footprint — less than 1 MB of memory — is required for real-world operation making it ideal for embedded applications and environments with memory constraints.
