Hello FairCom Japan!

In honor of FairCom Japan's new offices in Tokyo, feel free to send them warm greetings on their new digs. What? Don't know how to greet them in Japanese? Did you know you don't need a Japanese keyboard to type Japanese characters in Windows or Macs? Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji are all available from your standard English keyboard.

The setup is easy...

  1. Windows: Setup the IME keyboard from the Control Panel (Windows Vista and Windows 7).

Mac: In System Preferences, click the International icon. Then click the Input Menu tab.

  2. Windows: Select Hiragana from the IME Input options.

Mac: Click the boxes for Japanese Kana, and the Kotoeri, Romaji, Hiragana and Katakana types.

  3. WIndows: Open an editor and choose a Japanese font. (MS PGothic)

Mac: While in your editor, choose the International Input Menu (a flag) in the upper right tool bar. Choose an appropriate Japanese font from the application Font menu. (for example, Osaka).

  4. Type away.

... the language.. well.. maybe not so easy!

Many character sets are represented and encoded using the Unicode Standard. FairCom offers servers with full Unicode (wide character) support, including SQL. Contact your local FairCom office to inquire about availability for your application needs. メールFairCom日本

TeaLeaf's IntegriTea Web application management solution captures user sessions and alerts application failures in real time. It can recreate as well as correlate failures to a user instantly. This solution results in increased reliability, faster problem resolution, and ensured user satisfaction.

TeaLeaf's IntegriTea application is designed to capture all user interaction with a Web-based application. Every Web page displayed as well as every keystroke and mouse click is recorded, encrypted, and transferred to the IntegriTea server for processing and playback. Because of the volume of data that is captured, in some cases up to 20+ gigabytes per day, performance and scalability are central issues for the IntegriTea server.

After trying other enterprise-wide database servers, TeaLeaf turned to FairCom and the c-treeSQL Server. TeaLeaf engineers found the c-treeSQL Server provided better throughput than other servers. FairCom's smaller footprint, ease of use and cost savings make the c-treeSQL Server a powerful database solution for the IntegriTea Web application management solution.
