Columbia, MO — March 2, 1999 — FairCom Corporation and Citibank announced completion of a distribution agreement which incorporates new security technology within c-tree Plus, the FairCom Server and FairCom's ODBC Driver into Citibank's electronic banking and reporting software for regional customers in Asia, Africa and Europe.

FairCom will provide the database solutions required by Citibank's electronic banking project for its commercial customers. This new FairCom technology offers secure, efficient transmission of financial data via a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) communication between c-tree clients, the FairCom Server and ODBC clients for all supported protocols (TCP/IP, NetBios and SPX/IPX). Other Server developments include limited validity periods for user accounts along with limited failed user logons. The FairCom Server now encrypts server configuration and administration files using triple-DES encryption standard preventing access or deletion of these critical files.
